So, How Does a Squarespace Website Template Get Delivered?

One of the questions I get asked the most is:

"Okay... I bought the Squarespace template. Now what?"

If you've never purchased a Squarespace website template before, it's a fair question. Unlike buying a Canva template or downloading a Word document, your new website doesn't magically appear on your computer.

So here's exactly how the process works.

Step 1: Purchase Your Template

Once you've found a template you love, you'll purchase it through my shop just like any other digital product.

After checkout, you'll receive instructions on what comes next. Don't worry, you won't be left wondering what to do.

Step 2: Start Your Squarespace Trial (If You Haven't Already)

If you don't already have a Squarespace website, you'll simply create one.

Squarespace offers a free trial, so you can have your new website transferred before deciding on a paid plan.

If you already have an existing Squarespace website, that's perfectly fine too. We'll simply transfer the template into the correct account.

Step 3: I Transfer the Website to You

This is the part that surprises most people.

Instead of downloading a ZIP file and trying to piece everything together yourself, I duplicate the template website and transfer ownership directly to your Squarespace account.

That means when you log in, the website is already there waiting for you.

No importing files.

No confusing setup.

No copying dozens of pages one by one.

Just your new website, ready to customize.

Step 4: Make It Yours

Once the transfer is complete, it's time for the fun part.

Swap out the demo photos.

Replace the text with your own story.

Add your logo, brand colors, and products.

Before long, the website starts feeling less like a template and more like your business.

Do I Need Any Coding?

Nope.

Everything is built using Squarespace's drag-and-drop editor.

You'll be able to edit text, images, buttons, colors, fonts, and layouts without touching a single line of code.

If you can update a social media profile, you can absolutely edit your Squarespace website.
